This five-by-seven inch palm card provides a list of urgent maternal warning signs and discusses how family members can support during and after pregnancy. It explains that if a pregnant or recently pregnant woman expresses concerns about any symptoms she is having, take the time to hear her. If she says something doesn’t feel right, encourage her to seek medical help. If she is experiencing an urgent maternal warning sign, she should get medical care right away. Be sure that she says she is pregnant or was pregnant within the last year.
The palm card also lists talking points for having conversations about warning signs during and after pregnancy.
