This webinar will share effective strategies to create high quality resumes for newcomer populations. During the session, we will cover industry standard resume creation practices, including suggestions and best practices for selecting resume format type; shaping the content of standard resume components; selecting suitable fonts; optimizing resume length; crafting impactful bullet points; and making other formatting choices to enhance resumes for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and hiring manager approval. Alongside the guidance on effective resume creation, this webinar will explore strategies for effectively translating foreign work or education experience that may be difficult to convey to a Western reader. Key topics will include creating resumes for clients with little or no formal work or education experience; creating resumes for business owners or those with agricultural backgrounds; and documenting international education or work experience that may not align with American job titles or the structure of the U.S. education system.
Additionally, this session will explore the use of templates, software, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the resume creation process. These tools can help by generating potential responsibilities for previously held jobs, suggesting resume bullet points and objective statements, and adding key words to ensure that job seekers stand out in a competitive job market.
