Overcoming Challenges in Interpretation

This module is intended for service providers who work with interpreters. This is the second of two Switchboard e-learning modules on the topic of interpretation. If you are new to working with interpreters, we recommend completing Introduction to Working with Interpreters prior to completing this module.

After completing this 20-minute module, you will be able to:

1. Take steps to prepare for and open a session with an interpreter;
2. Name ways to support your interpreter in improving the quality of an interpreted conversation; and
3. Take steps to address common interpretation challenges.
