Intended for schools and refugee services staff, this course reviews the Parent-Teacher Association’s (PTA) six National Standards for Family-School Partnerships and provides recommendations on implementing each of the standards with refugee and immigrant students and their families. It discusses promising practices for each of the standards and provides additional resources. This course is available on the BRYCS website.
After completing this 78-minute module, you will have received:
- Information on standards of family, school, and community engagement as they pertain to refugees and immigrants; and
- Resources that can be used directly with refugee and immigrant families to facilitate family, school, and community engagement.
