Kiera McCarthy (she/her) worked for seven years in economic empowerment programs supporting the needs of humanitarian immigrants in Baltimore, MD. She began her career at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) as an employment specialist and eventually managed both entry level and career development programs there. She also worked at the Baltimore Alliance for Careers in Healthcare (BACH), overseeing a registered apprenticeship program that supports clients in securing living wage jobs in the medical field. She is currently earning her master’s degree in counseling psychology at Towson University.
